The Engineering Excellence competition, sponsored by the Engineering and Technology Alumni Society in conjunction with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, grants 11 awards annually to students who exhibit strong engineering skills and aptitude.
Cash prizes are awarded to five first place ($150) and five second place ($50) project submissions from each department. An overall winner is selected from the department winners. They receive a $200 award and their name(s) engraved on a permanent plaque in the Engineering Building.
The 2007-2008 overall winner of the Engineering Excellence Competition is an entry from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the SAE Snowmobile Team.
